Announcement: Earth Day Celebration is Canceled

Dear Earth Day Fresno Supporters:

As of March 16th, Earth Day Fresno is announcing that we're canceling our Earth Day celebration previously scheduled for April 25, 2020. We are making this change to help prevent the spread of COVID-19 through our community.

We encourage all of our members, vendors, exhibitors, and volunteers to be diligent in following the CDC and California Department of Public Health Guidelines to prevent the spread of disease. This includes washing your hands, maintaining six feet of social distance in public spaces, and staying at home whenever possible. If we work together to stop the spread of this virus, we will shorten the timeframe of its impact.

Updates, announcements, future plans and events can be found on our website at earthdayfresno.org. Thank you for your support and understanding during this challenging time. We look forward to seeing you again soon.

The first Earth Day, on April 22, 1970, activated 20 million Americans from all walks of life and is widely credited with launching the modern environmental movement. The passage of the landmark Clean Air Act, Clean Water Act, Endangered Species Act and many other groundbreaking environmental laws soon followed. Growing out of the first Earth Day, Earth Day Network (EDN) works with over 22,000 partners in 192 countries to broaden, diversify and mobilize the environmental movement. More than 1 billion people now participate in Earth Day activities each year, making it the largest civic observance in the world.
The 10th annual Earth Day Fresno is April 25, 10am – 4pm, Radio Park (First/Clinton), Fresno CA. This environmental festival is free and open to the public.
Browse 90+ booths of local environmental organizations, green businesses, and community programs all working to make our valley a healthier place. Two entertainment stages will provide music and dance through the day. The focus of Earth Day 2020 is climate change and many fun programs for tots to teens are planned, including Fresno's Science Mobile, Fresno County Public Library's Bookmobile and The Discovery Center. Fresno’s favorite food trucks will provide grub and drinks. The adjacent Fresno Art Museum, working in partnership with the U.S. Green Building Council, will be featuring a showcase of short environmental films at the Green Apple Video Competition.

That's what Earth Day is about. Our event welcomes everyone, with different ways to participate beyond just as a spectator (though that's definitely the most fun): volunteer, donor, exhibitor, or vendor.

We are celebrating our 10-year anniversary this year!

Join us at Radio Park.

We are eternally grateful to the City of Fresno for their generous support and enthusiasm for the most important resource we have to share and care for: Our Earth.
